About Laura Kuester E-mail

Laura is a graduate of Northeastern State University with a bachelors degree in Speech/Language Pathology. She  received her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Southwest Missouri Sate University in 1997. Upon completion of graduate school, she began her counseling career at Grand Lake Mental Health Center where she worked extensively with children and families.

Laura obtained her License in Professional Counseling from the State of Oklahoma in March 1999. After receiving her license, she began working in a group practice where she led individual, group and family therapy sessions. In 2000, Laura went into private practice and Solutions Counseling was born.

During her years in private practice, Laura has treated and worked with various types of clients and issues. She has had extensive training in play therapy and working with children and she has also continued her education in the marriage counseling aspect of therapy. Laura was certified as a Prep/C-Prep (The Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program) marriage enrichment instructor in 2005. In 2006 she was certified as a Dynamic Marriage Instructor by Family Dynamics.

Laura has a passion for helping the hurting, from children to individuals to marriages and families. She is an experienced teacher and speaker. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Laura offers professional therapy that is consistent with her Christian beliefs and ethics.

Laura has been married 13 years and has two children. She enjoys being a wife and mother and also enjoys reading and scuba diving.
